  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    reports that Lucio was admitted to the intensive care unit of the Brasilia hospital on May 15 with burns on various parts of his body due to a domestic accident. Following treatment, the hospital issued a statement reassuring his fans that the Brazilian is 'stable, conscious and under constant observation'.

    Lucio started his professional career in his homeland before moving to Europe in 2001 when he joined Bayer Leverkusen. He then went on to play for Bayern Munich for five years before heading to Inter in 2009, where he won the treble under Jose Mourinho, including his only Champions League title. The 47-year-old retired from professional football in 2020.
